Kinetic Minds is offering Creative Coding Foundations, a small-group pilot program designed to prepare students for our Creative Computing with Scratch (KM 101) program.
This class is for early elementary kids who are ready to move beyond basic computer comfort and begin creating with code — with guidance and support.
In this hands-on session, kids will:
Build simple interactive stories using guided Scratch activities
Strengthen laptop skills like clicking, navigating, and following multi-step directions
Explore cause and effect and simple sequencing in an age-appropriate way
Practice safe, confident technology use through supported exploration
Share and explain what they created (no reading or typing required)
Projects are highly scaffolded and designed for curious early elementary learners who are ready for the next step — without pressure to work independently.
This class helps shape Kinetic Minds’ growing creative coding pathway, focused on confidence, storytelling, and hands-on learning with technology.
Perfect for kids who love stories, characters, and asking “what happens if I try this?”
